Samuel Wilkinson embellishes Seeds office interior with leaves


London-based Samuel Wilkinson Studio has designed an office space to house a business incubator, featuring fixed furniture and leafy embellishments. Young entrepreneurs will work in the central London space during a six-month programme, which includes mentoring and workshops intended to hone their core business skills. The intention is that by the end of the programme the businesses will have grown sufficiently to move to their own premises.

Arkwright office by Haptic features slatted staircase emulating rock formations


Arkwright is a European consultancy that specialise in strategic advice. A new office space has been created for 40-50 employees, including workspaces, reception and back office, kitchen canteen, meeting rooms, breakout space and a „James Bond“ room. The office is located in the prime harbour front location of Aker Brygge in Oslo, Norway, in an old converted warehouse building with a large arched window as its centrepiece.

„The Body“ encourages a person to find their choice of sitting by discarding learned cultural norms. Trusting in their touch, movement and the feelings that arise in reaction to these in order to create the most comfortable way of sitting. The structure of „The Body“ is made from canvas and rice allowing it to be formed into reconfigurable rigid structures.

Work for Life: Interview with Lievore Altherr Molina


Based in Barcelona, designers Alberto Lievore, Jeannette Altherr and Manel Molina formed the design studio Lievore Altherr Molina in 1991. Since the company’s inception, they have collaborated with organizations around the world on product design, consulting and art direction. In 1999, Lievore Altherr Molina began working with Arper, designing some of the company’s most recognizable furniture including the Leaf collection, Catifa and last year’s Saya. „Wall 57“ is a feature wall, designed as a historical showcase and exploration of the Heinz brand. A unique mix of art installation and architectural feature, it stands in the reception area of the newly-opened Heinz European Innovation Centre in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Encompassing past and present, the wall makes use of everything intrinsically linked to the brand, from the tomato seed and ketchup bottle to the household fork and fridge, as well as carefully selected retro images.
