Employees of e-ticketing company Eventbrite can have meetings on bleachers and recline in hammocks at the company’s new headquarters in downtown San Francisco by Rapt Studio.

Creative consultants Rapt Studio wanted to include a range of working environments at the offices for Eventbrite, after the company secured a permanent base on the sixth and seventh floors of 155 5th Street.

Rapt Studio began the design process by surveying the company’s employees to find out about their needs, and asking them to collect ideas using social network Pinterest.

„There are one-on-one rooms and quiet nooks that are smaller in scale and offer an intimate setting as well as large scale and lively spaces for group gatherings, such as a dynamic central cafe and stage with full A/V capabilities, and stadium seating areas,“ said the studio.

Floor-to-ceiling windows allow the maximum amount of natural light to flood into the open-plan office spaces and offer views across the city.

Separate rooms feature padded seating and low lighting to allow for private work or small informal meetings. Dark furniture and muted tones are also used in the library to create an area for quiet independent study.

Lighter wood panels form stepped bleacher seating for large meetings, with light and dark blue upholstered cushions and ottomans added for comfort.

Audiovisual equipment is installed in meeting rooms so employees can connect with their colleagues in other Eventbrite offices. „We outfitted every conference room with video chat capabilities and large flat-panel displays to enable employees throughout the world to easily connect,“ said Rapt Studio. „Eventbrite’s diverse workforce also created a need for dedicated spaces, so we designed Zen-like rooms to support new mothers returning from maternity leave and an in-office bike storage alcove for cycling commuters,“ said the studio.
